Waleed Abdullah Al-Mogbel

Managing Director and CEO of Al Rajhi Bank since January 1, 2020, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He has been the Managing Director and Board Member of the same bank since November 9, 2022, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tanfeeth Company since September 2022, Newleap Company since June 2021, Emkan Finance Company since May 2021, and a Board Member of Al Rajhi Cooperative Insurance Company “Al Rajhi Takaful” representing “Al Rajhi Bank” since May 30, 2021.

He joined Al Rajhi Bank in 1998 and held several positions, including: Executive Vice President between 2019 and 2020, Head of Budget and Management Reports, Head of Operations Group between 2014 and 2018, CFO between 2009 and 2014, Head of Financial Control between 2008 and 2009, and Financial Controller between 2007 and 2008.

He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Al Rajhi Bank in Malaysia between 2012 and 2018, the Saudi Credit Bureau (SIMAH) between 2016 and 2017, and Al Rajhi Cooperative Insurance Company - Al Rajhi Takaful between 2012 and 2015. He also worked as an assistant professor at King Saud University in 2007.

He has over 25 years of experience in the financial and banking sector, auditing, taxation and financial management consulting, and has participated in the completion of many development and strategic projects at Al Rajhi Bank during his career.

He was ranked among the “Most Powerful CEOs in the Middle East” for 2021 and 2022 by Forbes Middle East.

He holds a PhD in Auditing in 2005 from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom, a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance in 2003 from Southampton University in the same country, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1998 from King Saud University, a Fellowship in Accounting, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate in 2011 from the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants.
