He is the Vice Chairman of the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (Dubai Carbon) , Honorary President of the Middle East Energy Institute, a member of the UK Energy Institute, and a member of the Oil Companies International Offshore Forum (OCIMF).
Possesses practical experience and knowledge of environmental management systems, pollution control, fire and safety compliance, development and management of occupational health and safety management systems, review of environmental, health and safety management systems, occupational safety task analysis, total quality management, and other health and safety characteristics.
He served as Executive Director of Environment, Health, Safety, Security, Quality and Corporate Affairs at ENOC between 2015 and 2018, and Director of Environmental Health Safety and Quality Compliance between 2009 and 2015 at the same company.
He has also held several positions in EHSQ policies and principles for oil and gas companies in UAE, Singapore, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti and Morocco.
He holds a PhD in Leadership and Corporate Management from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom in 2014, an MBA from the same university in 2006, a Master’s in Environmental Sciences in 2001 from the United Arab Emirates University , and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Health Engineering in 1993 from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom.
