Trad Al Mahmoud

The resigned CEO of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in the United Arab Emirates. His resignation request was approved on November 21, 2017, after 9 years of work with the bank, which he began in 2008. He died on April 18, 2018. Before joining Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, he worked at Citibank for 20 years. During which he held several positions, including Head of the Corporate Banking Department from 1992 to 1998, and Regional President of Citibank in North Africa from 1998 to 2000. He also served as CEO of Citibank Romania and CEO of Citibank Slovakia. He also held the position of General Manager in the “Samba” group. in KSA. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the “ Saudi Installment House ” in the Kingdom. Al Mahmoud won the Islamic Banking Personality of the Year Award for 2011 issued by the World Islamic Banking Conference. Arabian Business magazine also included him in the list of “The 50 Most Powerful CEOs in the UAE” for the year 2014. Al Mahmoud is a graduate of the University of Montreal and completed an executive management program at the Wharton School. Business” at the University of Pennsylvania.
