He began his professional career in 1986, when he joined the “ Sharjah Municipality ” and was appointed head of the Purchasing and Bidding Department. In 1993, he was appointed head of the Administrative Affairs Department in the same municipality, then director of the Financial, Administrative Affairs and Compensation Department in the “Department of Planning and Survey” in 1998 and the general coordinator of the Urban Planning Symposium. He joined the basketball team in 1976 at the Sharjah Club, then moved to the position of honorary member of the Sharjah Sports Club.

He holds a doctorate in Islamic economics in 2015, a master’s degree in Islamic economics in 2015, and a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1986 from the UAE University.
