He is the founder, owner and chairman of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Group since 1972, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Society for Mediation and Arbitration in Intellectual Property since 2003, and the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education “AROQA” since 2007, and Chairman of the Network Global Digital Technologies for Sustainable Urbanization” since 2015, the “Arab Alliance for the Service Industry” since 2015, the “Center for Research and Strategic Action” since 2012, the Arab Organization for Research and Education Networks “ASREN” since 2010, and the “Afro-Asian Knowledge Society Council” since 2009, And the “Arab World Internet Institute” since 2008, and the “ Association of Licensing Experts - Arab Countries ” since 1998.

He also served as Chairman of the E-Commerce and Information and Communications Technologies Authority in the International Chamber of Commerce between 2001 and 2008, and the Arab Regional Network of the United Nations Information and Communications Technology Group between 2001 and 2004, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Site Names Expert Group during 2001. And President of both the Middle East Council and the Center for International Strategic Studies between 1995 and 1997.

He was awarded several shields, including: a commemorative shield from “Cambridge University.” In 2003, and a shield of appreciation from Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 1998.
He received an honorary doctorate in humane letters in 2018 from the Lebanese American University, an honorary doctorate in administration and economics in 2016 from Jerash University in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, an honorary doctorate in business administration in 2015 from Mutah University in Jordan, and an honorary doctorate in Humanities in 2014 from Bethlehem University in the State of Palestine, an honorary doctorate in arts in 1988 from Canisius University in the United States of America, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1960 from the American University of Beirut.
