He was also Vice President of Finance at TNKBP from 2003 to 2008, Economic Advisor to HM Treasury in the UK from 1981 to 1986, and worked for British Petroleum (BP) from 1986 to 2003.
He holds a Master’s degree in Economics in 1981 from St. Antony’s College, Oxford University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics in 1979 from Sussex University in the same country.
