Daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and wife of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE.

She holds the position of Chairperson of the Dubai Women Establishment , the UAE Gender Balance Council , Honorary Chairperson of the Emirates Down Syndrome Association , the Emirates Marine Environmental Group, and an Ambassador for the Dubai Cares Foundation .

She founded the Dubai Ladies Club in 2003, and supports the Dubai Autism Center through it, donating AED 100,000 to help develop and activate the center’s role.

She is an artist and is considered one of the main sponsors of the arts in the Emirates, as she launched the “Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed Award for Young Artists” in four categories: fine arts, photography and multimedia, and design, in addition to the “People’s Choice Award”. She also launched the “Manal Humanitarian Initiative” in 2013, in order to activate humanitarian work on the local, regional and international levels.

She holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from the American University in Dubai , and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Interior Design.
