He previously held a number of positions, including:

• Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Arab Insurance Company “Salama” between April 24, 2023 and 2024.
• Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Arab Insurance Company "Salama".
• Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) between 2020 and 2023.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Gulf Navigation Holding Company ” between April 21, 2019 and August 2020.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) between 2014 and 2020.
• Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Investment Company between 2003 and 2008.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CFA Institute.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank between 2001 and 2007.

He worked for 28 years at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in investment fields including stocks, bonds, private investments, infrastructure, real estate and technology, and he also held the position of Executive Director of the Information Technology Department.

He was a member of the Executive Advisory Board of MCSI Barr, and a member of the Board of Directors of the CFA Institute.

He also served as a member of the board of directors of several companies, including:

• Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) between 2011 and 2014.
• Arab Banking Corporation between 2005 and 2011.
• " Tourism Development and Investment Company ".
• Abu Dhabi Media Company .
• Abu Dhabi Retirement Pensions and Benefits Fund .

• Emirates Telecommunications Corporation "Etisalat" between 2005 and 2008.

• Dubai Cable Company (Ducab).
• " Waha Capital " company.

In 2007, he was selected by the World Economic Forum as one of the top 250 young global leaders for his contributions to the financial and public sectors in the UAE.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lewis & Clark College in the United States of America, and a Chartered Financial Analyst certificate. He also completed the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.
