CEO of Orascom Construction since March 2015, Arab Republic of Egypt.

He has been the Managing Director of the same company since 1998, and a member of the Board of Directors of the BESIX Group in Belgium.

He joined Orascom in 1985, and held several positions in Orascom Construction Industries, including: Chairman of the Board of Directors, Managing Director, and Operations Manager. During his work in the company, he contributed to the development of construction work, especially in the cement, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. He also contributed to the company’s expansion in the field of investment in the fertilizer sector in Egypt and Algeria, and adopted Orascom’s entry into the field of partnership and investments under the BOT system in the water and renewable energy sectors.

Forbes Middle East ranked him among the “Most Powerful CEOs in the Middle East for 2022”.

He holds a Diploma in Construction Management from the American University in Cairo , and a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from Cairo University .
