Executive Director of the Information Technology Affairs Sector at the Department of Municipalities and Transport since January 2022, United Arab Emirates.

He held the position of Director of Spatial Data and Real Estate Management at the Department of Municipalities and Transport between 2013 and 2017, Acting Director of the Addressing and Geographical Names Department at the Department of Municipal Affairs, and a member of the National Committee for Addressing and Spatial Guidance.

Contributed to leading the digital transformation in the Department of Municipalities and Transport and supported several tracks in the smart cities, artificial intelligence and digital services development sector.

He was the supervisor of the implementation of the “Unified Addressing and Spatial Guidance Project” for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in coordination with the municipalities in the emirate, and worked in the municipal system at both: “Al Ain City Municipality” and “Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Center”.

He has won many awards in the field of smart cities, artificial intelligence, geospatial information and remote sensing systems. He also won the “Al Nawaif Award for Institutional Excellence” as the best department manager in the “ Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport ” for the year 2015.

He holds a PhD in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing in 2020 from the University of Barcelona Botanical Gardens in Spain, a Master’s degree in Project Management in 2011 from George Washington University in the United States of America, another Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing in 2011 from the United Arab Emirates University , and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Security in 2007 from the College of Information Technology at the same university.
