Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva since 2007.

He is an honorary member of the “ Swiss Business Council in the Emirates ” since 2005.

He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority between 1997 and 2005, Director of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation , and Travel and Commissioner to the Republic of Sudan between 1983 and 1986.

He received the “Order of the Republic,” first class in 1987, the “Order of the Two Niles,” first class in 1986 from the Republic of Sudan, and the “Grand Order of Merit” from the Federal Republic of Germany in 1983.

He holds a degree in English in 1975 from the University of Baghdad .
