She is a member of the Advisory Board of “Harvard Business Review of Arabia”, in addition to her membership in the “Ministerial Development Council”, the “United Arab Emirates Soft Power Council”, the “National Elections Commission”, and the Board of Trustees of the “International Institute for Tolerance” since June 2017.

She served as Minister of Culture and Youth between July 5, 2020 and February 7, 2023, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development between 2017 and 2020, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs between February 2016 and October 2017, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of both Abu Dhabi Media” between 2017 and 2019, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company “ADNEC” between 2016 and 2019, and “twofour54”. She also held the position of President of Zayed University.

She was chosen by “Foreign Policy” as one of “The 100 Global Thinkers” in 2013, and in 2014 she was included in the list of “The 30 Most Influential Arab Women in the Government Sector in the Arab World” by “Forbes Middle East”. She won the award “Businesswoman of the Year” by the “Gulf Business Industry Awards” 2014.

She was honored by the American Association for Outdoor Media (AAM) in 2015 in recognition of her leadership role in the growth of the media industry in the United Arab Emirates. She was also chosen among the 20 most influential women in the global television sector for the year 2016 by “Hollywood Reporter”.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the United Arab Emirates University in 2001, and completed the Leadership Program at the London Business School in 2011.
