Noura Ahmed Al Noman

Owner and CEO of " Dar Makhtoota 5229 " Since January 2013, United Arab Emirates. She has been the Director General of the Executive Office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi since April 2002. She is also an author of novels and a science fiction series for children, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Sharjah. She served as Acting Director of the Sharjah Ladies Club between 2002 and 2003, and as the Owner of the Scholar Legal Translation Office between 1995 and 1998. She worked in the Monitoring Department of the UAE Ministry of Information, and as an English Language Teacher at Al Shaima School in Sharjah, affiliated with the UAE Ministry of Education, between 1986 and 1991. She was a member of the Honorary Founders Council of the Sharjah Development Forum , and served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Al Qasimi Hospital, and was a member of the UAE Board on Books for Young People. Her works include: “Ajwan Novel” in 2012, “Mandan Novel” in 2014, “Sidonie” in 2016, and illustrated children’s books “Kiwi the Hedgehog” and “Qatna the Cat” in 2010. She won the “Etisalat Award for Children’s Books” in 2013 for the Best Young Adult Book category. She holds a Master’s degree in Language and Translation in 2004 from the “ American University of Sharjah ”, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature in 1986 from the “ United Arab Emirates University ”.
