Mona Saqr Al Matroushi

Director General of Ajman Society for Social and Cultural Development , United Arab Emirates.

She is the Vice President of the Social Responsibility Team for the Emirate of Ajman, an entrepreneur in the field of fashion design, and the owner of the “VMS LOUNGE” project. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the “ Ajman Businesswomen Council ”, a member of the “ Arab Volunteering Union ”, and works as a volunteer lecturer at the “ Emirates Red Crescent Authority ”.

She has 20 years of experience in the educational field, where she worked as a judge for the Ministry of Education’s Reading Awards for the years 2013 and 2015, and as head of the Educational Excellence Committee for the Sharjah Model Schools between 2012 and 2014. She was a member of the celebration organizing committees for both the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence and the Symbols of Giving Award for the Sharjah Education Zone between 2011 and 2015, and a member of the Institutional Excellence Committee for the Sharjah Zone affiliated with the Ministry of Education between 2010 and 2015. She was also a resource officer at the Wasit Model School in the Emirate of Sharjah.

She won the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence in the Distinguished Teacher category in 2006 from Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, the Hamdan bin Rashid Award for Distinguished Academic Performance in the Distinguished Teacher category at the Arab World level in 2009, and the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence in the Distinguished Resource Specialist category at the Arab World level in 2013. She was also honored by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the “Remarkably Exceeding Expectations” category for the years 2014 and 2015.

She holds an honorary doctorate in humanitarian entrepreneurship from the University of Cambridge in the United States of America. She was also classified as one of the creative Emirati women in the “Sheikha Shamsa bint Suhail Award” for the “Cultural Café Project” in 2014, and was honored by the “ Arab Union for Volunteering ” at the “Peace for Development Forum” for her participation in the activities of the “Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence Campaign” in 2018.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, in 1998 from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Egypt, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Classroom Teaching, from the United Arab Emirates University .
