He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Journalists Association since March 2018, Editor-in-Chief of Al Roya Newspaper since October 14, 2016, Member of the Board of Trustees of the National Human Rights Authority since December 19, 2021, and Member of the International Federation of Journalists and the Arab Journalists Union .

He was a member of the Advisory Board of the National Media Council, an assistant faculty member at the Higher Colleges of Technology between 2014 and 2015, a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Journalism Award, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award between 2011 and 2015, a member of the Advisory Board of the College of Media at the University of Sharjah , a member of the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Journalists, and participated in the founding of the Young Arab Leaders Organization .

He served as the Chairman of the “Josoor International Center for Media and Development” in Geneva, and held several positions at the “ Abu Dhabi Media Company ”, including: Executive Director of Editing and Publishing between 2014 and 2018, Director of Public Services Affairs between 2012 and 2013, Editor-in-Chief of “National Geographic Al Arabiya” magazine between 2010 and 2013, Regional Director of the company in Saudi Arabia between 2010 and 2012, Director of New Publications between 2008 and 2010, and Director of Specialized Publishing between 2006 and 2007.

He also held several positions at Al Ittihad Newspaper , including: Editor-in-Chief between 2013 and 2018, Head of the Local and Economic Affairs Unit between 1998 and 2002, Editor of the “People’s Opinion Page” between 1996 and 1998, Journalist in the Local News Department between 1994 and 1996, Daily Columnist between 1997 and 2002, and Writer of a Weekly Political Article. He was also a member of the restructuring team of the Emirates Media Corporation between 2002 and 2004.

He published more than 3,000 articles on local and international issues, and issued three books: “The Brotherhood’s Autumn” in 2016, “Emirati Democracy” in 2009, and “The Time of Ordeal” in 2008.

He won the “Taryam Omran Journalism Award” for the best journalistic article category in 2003, the “Distinguished Journalist Award” from the “Dubai Press Club” in 2001, and the “Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Award for Scientific Excellence” in 1995.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Mass Communication from the United Arab Emirates University in 1994.
