Maryam Rashid Bin Al Sheikh

Director of Sharjah Business Women Council, United Arab Emirates.

Before assuming her current role, she worked at the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) as Business Development Coordinator and later as Investment Promotion Manager, where she oversaw investment services for Shurooq in the United Kingdom and Central Europe.

Maryam was a member of the Sharjah Consultative Council during the tenth legislative term, from 2019 to 2024, serving as Rapporteur for the Financial, Economic, and Industrial Affairs Committee. Rapporteur of the Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee.

Since joining the Sharjah Business Women Council in 2019, she has contributed to expanding its team from 5 to 20 employees, which enhanced work efficiency and contributed to achieving the Council’s goals. She has represented the Council in local and international forums, and changed the Council’s media image in line with community expectations. She worked on building and implementing strategies that support the Council’s future directions, and led initiatives to launch and implement the Council’s electronic services.

Maryam Bin Al Sheikh completed her university studies in 2013, majoring in International Relations, and graduated from the Leaders Program in cooperation with "Tatweer" and "Cambridge University", as well as from the "Riyada" Leaders Program.
