Maryam Al Mheiri's Bio
Director General of the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office since December 14, 2017.
She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Media Council, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women's Sports, and the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Zayed University for Human Sciences. She is also a member of the Economic Development Committee in the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Al Mheiri has held many positions in the Media Zone Authority in Abu Dhabi, including Acting CEO, Chief Operating Officer, and Executive Director of Communication and Human Development. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Media Company and Image Nation in the UAE, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of twofour54 and Thuraya Telecommunications Company.
Al Mheiri was ranked as one of the "Most Powerful Arab Women of 2017" by Forbes Middle East and won the "Arab Woman Award" for the media category in 2017.
She holds an MA in Strategy and National Security Studies from the National Defense College in Abu Dhabi, an Executive Master in Business Administration from the TRIUM program, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the Higher Colleges of Technology.
