In this role, Majed is responsible for overseeing and advancing the bank’s financial operations, ensuring alignment between its financial performance and broader strategic objectives.

He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of Saudi Steel Pipe Company (Saudi Pipes).

Majed brings over 20 years of experience in banking governance, finance, and accounting. Prior to his current role, he served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the Social Development Bank and as Chairman of the Audit Committee at Al-Istithmar Capital, a securities and brokerage firm owned by the Saudi Investment Bank.

Between 2001 and 2019, he held several positions at the Saudi Investment Bank, most recently as Deputy Chief Financial Officer,  In this capacity, he contributed to formulating the bank's five-year financial strategy, leading the restructuring of the finance department, and overseeing its implementation.

Additionally, he managed the financial requirements for rating agencies such as Fitch and Standard & Poor's. Before this, he served as Secretary of the General Assembly of the bank's shareholders and Financial Controller of investment funds, beginning his journey as an internal auditor. He also served as the liaison for the Saudi Central Bank and the Ministry of Commerce.

Majed was a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of the Saudi Ceramics Company, a member of the Audit Committee of American Express, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Credit Bureau (SIMAH) .

He holds a Bachelor of Administrative Sciences in Accounting from King Saud University in 2001. He also holds several professional certificates in accounting, strategic management, and risk management in banks in the United States and France. He completed the Executive Program in Strategic Management from INSEAD in 2014 and the Executive Program in Risk Management from the same college in 2011.
