Maitha Al Hashemi

Group Head of Credit Management at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank since November 2, 2021, United Arab Emirates.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi National Takaful Company “Takaful” , “ Noor Takaful Company ”, “Emirates NBD Securities”, and “Emirates Islamic Financial Brokerage Company”.

She was a member of the Board of Directors of “ Dar Al Takaful Company ” between 2018 and 2022.

She held the position of Head of Risk Management at Emirates Islamic Bank between 2016 and 2021, Head of Credit Management at Emirates NBD between 2012 and 2016, and Senior Vice President of the Credit Group at the same bank between 2007 and 2012. She also held several positions at National Bank of Dubai, including: Vice President of Credit Management between 2005 and 2007, Credit Manager between 2001 and 2004, and Credit Officer between 1996 and 2001.

She has over 25 years of experience in the banking sector, credit management and banking risks.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Science in 1996 from Webster University Geneva in Switzerland.
