Khalid Al-Otaibi's Bio
Vice President of Engineering and Maintenance at BAE Systems Saudi Arabia since March 2021, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He is also a Board Member of SAMI Aerospace Mechanics (SAM).
He joined the company in June 2014 as Capability Director for the Typhoon Program, and in June 2015, he was appointed Deputy Vice President for the Salam Project. In January 2017, he became Vice President for Manufacturing and Local Content Affairs.
With over 24 years of experience, Khalid has held several leadership roles during his service with the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), including Deputy Director of Maintenance and Director of the Typhoon Program.
He was also the commander of the Line Aviation Rack, the Second Line Rack, the Quality and Maintenance Control Rack, and the Helicopter Maintenance Squadron, during his work as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in many systems, including the Typhoon, helicopters, air refueling aircraft, early warning aircraft, and F-15 and F-5 fighters at several RSAF bases.
Khalid served as a Board Member of Advanced Electronics Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), and as a Board Member of BAE Systems Saudi Development & Training for four year.
He holds a Master’s degree from the Command and Staff College in Riyadh and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from King Saud University.
