Head of the Gulf Cooperation Council team concerned with negotiating free trade agreements for both the Trade in Services and Investment Teams, United Arab Emirates. He is the Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Trade Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Economy , and Vice-Chairman of the country’s negotiating team for free trade agreement negotiations. Al Kait joined the UAE Ministry of Economy in 2003, and served as Director of the Department of Trade Agreements and the World Trade Organization. He was then appointed as Executive Director of Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Trade. He supervised the preparation and completion of the first report to review the UAE’s trade policy, which was conducted by the World Trade Organization in 2006. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business information technology from the Higher Colleges of Technology , and a specialized diploma in the field of trade policy from the World Trade Organization, Geneva. He is a graduate of the UAE Government Leadership Program “Executive Leadership Category”.
