Jamal Majid bin Thaniah

Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Emaar Properties ” since December 10, 2020, United Arab Emirates.

He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Emaar Misr Development Company ” representing “ Emaar Properties Company ” since November 13, 2012 in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Emaar The Economic City Company ” since October 25, 2021, and a member of the Board of Directors. “ Emaar Development Company .”

He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Emaar The Economic City ” between October 8, 2020 and October 25, 2021. He was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Emaar Development Company ,” and held several positions at “ DP World ,” including: Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors between 2005 and 2017. He was a non-executive board member between 2009 and 2017, and CEO of the International Ports and Free Zones Group, the holding company for DP World . He joined the Port Rashid Authority in 1981, and worked as a managing director at the Dubai Ports Authority between 2001 and 2005. He was assistant managing director of the same authority between 1991 and 2001.

He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Investment Company, and a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of Etihad Rail Company between 2009 and 2016.

He received the Seatrade Marine Award for Outstanding Achievement in 2007, the Outstanding Achievement Award from the International Cargo Handling Association, and the Personality of the Year Award at the 2005 Lloyd's List Awards.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the United Arab Emirates University.
