Emirati businessman and billionaire. Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Damac Properties”

He is the Chairman of Al-Jazeera Services Company and Al-Anwar Ceramic Tile Company, which he acquired in 1998.

He started his career as a contracts manager at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Limited (GASCO), a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and then founded his own project specialized in the field of catering, “Derayah Service Management Company” in 1982.

He founded several companies, including: “Damac Investment Company” and “Daeco Group” in 1992, “Al Jazeera Services Company” in 1997, “Damac Properties Company” in 2002, in addition to “Taiba Kuwaiti Holding Company” in 2005. In 2019 acquired the Italian fashion group Roberto Cavalli.

He served as a member of the Board of Directors of Majan University College in the Sultanate of Oman, Juno Online Company in the United States of America, and Takaful Emirates Company.

Sajwani has won a number of awards, including: “Best Real Estate Developer Award in the UAE for 2019” from the “International Business Magazine”, and in 2018 he received the “Best CEO of the Year Award” from the “National Treasure Awards”, and the “Best Entrepreneur Award”. of the Year at the Gulf Business Awards.

He topped the “List of CEOs in the Real Estate Sector” at the “Top CEO 2017” Awards, in addition to receiving the “Best CEO of a Real Estate Company Award 2013” at the “Gulf Business Awards.”

Forbes Middle East also ranked him among the “Wealthy Arabs” in 2018, 2022, and 2023, and he was chosen on the “List of the 100 Most Powerful Arab People for 2018” in “Gulf Business Magazine.”

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Economics in 1981 from the University of Washington in the United States of America.
