Hisham Ali AlAkil

Executive Vice President of Finance at “ Bank Albilad ” since January 15, 2017, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Audit Committee of both the Saudi Reinsurance Company (Re) since 2016, and the Saudi Ground Services Company since May 5, 2019.

He held the position of CFO at Al Rajhi Financial Company between 2015 and 2017, and held several positions at Al Rajhi Bank , including: Deputy CFO between 2014 and 2015, CFO at Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia between 2012 and 2014, and General Manager between 2010 and 2012.

He also worked as a financial manager at Flynas between 2007 and 2010, and as an insurance supervisor at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) between 2000 and 2007, and was a member of the audit committee at Amana Cooperative Insurance Company.

He has experience in commercial and investment banking, insurance, finance and operations management in startups and global corporations.

He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance in 2004 from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States of America, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2000 from King Saud University, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certificate, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate. He also completed the Strategic Financial Leadership Program in 2015 from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in the United States.
