Harb Masoud Al Darmaki

Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Gulf Capital Company ”, United Arab Emirates. He has been an advisor in the office of the Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority since 2015, and Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee of the same entity since 2011. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Investment Authority since June 10, 2020. He held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates between December 16, 2018 and July 16, 2020. He joined the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in 1976 and is considered one of the early founders, as he was responsible for the Global Equities and Bonds Department between 1976 and 1987, then became Director of the European Equities and Bonds Department and the Global Private Equity Department between 1987 and 1998, after which he assumed the executive management of the Private Equities Department until 2015. He was also a member of the Investment Committee of the Authority from 1976 to 2018. He has more than 40 years of experience in the investment and asset management sector in international and regional markets, where he chaired the Board of He has been a board member of Abu Dhabi Investment Company , Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange , and Global Investment House in Kuwait. He has held several positions, including: Chairman of the Investment Committee at Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation , Chairman of the Investment Committee, and Board Member of AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company . He has served on the boards of several banks and companies, including: Arab Banking Corporation, Qatar Telecommunications Company, Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates , National Bank of Abu Dhabi , and Al Hilal Bank . He holds a Master's degree in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University in the United States of America, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.
