Homaid Al Shimmari

Deputy Group CEO, Chief Corporate & Human Capital Officer Mubadala Investment Company “Mubadala”, United Arab Emirates.

He is a member of the Investment Committee and Chairman of the Administrative Affairs Committee at Mubadala, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company Abu Dhabi Investment Autonomous Systems, Maximus Air Cargo Company, and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Etihad Airways Engineering Company.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of “ First Abu Dhabi Bank ” since February 28, 2023, “ Al Waha Capital Company ,” and “ Abu Dhabi Airlines ” since 2011, and a member of the Board of Trustees of “ Khalifa University ,” and the Scholarships Committee of “ Abu Dhabi Education Council".

He assumed the position of CEO of the Aviation Industry and Engineering Services Sector at Mubadala Development Company  and Executive Director at Mubadala Aviation Manufacturing Company. Before joining Mubadala Development, he worked as an officer with the rank of Colonel in the UAE Armed Forces, where he specialized in military aviation and maintenance. Purchasing and logistics support services management.

He chaired the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding Company, the Emirates Military Industries Company (EDIC), Strata Manufacturing, and the Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center (AMROC), and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du), and Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding Company, Mubadala Petroleum Company, and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar” and “GlobalFoundries”, in addition to his membership in the Board of Trustees of the “United Arab Emirates University”.

He holds a black belt in Six Sigma management from General Electric.

He holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the United States of America.
