Bassam Wael Kanaan

Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions at Hikma Pharmaceuticals since 2014, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

He has been a member of the Investment Committee at Hikma Ventures since 2015, a member of the Board of Directors of Arab Bank and the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature since 2015, and a member of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees of the Taawon Foundation since 2011.

He was a member of the Board of Trustees at Yarmouk University between 2014 and 2016, and a member of the Board of Directors at each of: Aqaba Development Company between 2008 and 2012, Jordan Capital Bank between 2007 and 2009, Central Electricity Generating Company between 2003 and 2005, and Palestine Telecommunications Company “Paltel” between 2000 and 2001.

He held the position of Financial Manager at Palestine Development and Investment Company (PADICO Holding) between 1994 and 2001, and Audit Manager at Deloitte between 1986 and 1993.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting from Claremont McKenna College in the United States of America in 1986. He also completed the International Executive Program at Northwestern University in the same country.
