Amani Al Hosani's Bio
Emirati nuclear engineer.
She is the first Emirati woman to specialize in nuclear engineering and has been a shift manager at Nawah Energy Company, a subsidiary of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, since January 2024.
She held several positions at Nawah Energy Company, including: Nuclear Operations Shift Supervisor, Shift Technical Advisor, Deputy Simulation Manager, and Simulation Engineer.
She also worked as Head of the Main Systems Simulation Department at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant , a Systems Processing Engineer at the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO), and was a member of the Emirates Council of Scientists .
She was honored as part of the "UAE Pioneers Initiative" in 2014 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as the first Emirati female nuclear engineer.
She holds a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, specializing in Reactor Design and Nuclear Safety Analytical Research, from Khalifa University in 2012, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the United Arab Emirates University in 2009.
