He held the position of Head of Legal Affairs at Petrofac between 2017 and 2020, and TechnipFMC in the Middle East between 2016 and 2017, and held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at Technip for the Middle East between 2013 and 2016, and Constructora Andrade Gutierrez for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region between 2010 and 2013, and Mota-Engil between 2009 and 2010.

He held the position of Head of the Legal Department of the Business Unit at OPWAY Engenharia between 2003 and 2008, and worked as a Legal Assistant at Vieira de Almeida & Associados between 2008 and 2009.

He holds a postgraduate degree in Public Law in 2006 from the University of Coimbra in Portugal, a postgraduate degree in Contract Law in 2005 from the Catholic University of Portugal, and a law degree in 2001 from the same university. He also completed the Leadership Excellence Programme at the London Business School.
