She has been Chairwoman of Shafra Company since February 2023. She is a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Future Councils, the Fourth Industrial Revolution Smart Readiness Index Team, and the World Happiness Council, and chairs the Happy Cities Council.

She is also a member of the City Protocol Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park since July 2023, the Arab Financial Services Company since June 2022, the University of Wollongong Dubai since October 2019, the Gartner Research Council, and a member of the Computer Systems Advisory Board, the Smart Services, Infrastructure and Digital Leadership Team, and the Advisory Board of the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of Sharjah.

A thought leader in digital transformation and smart cities, she represents Dubai Smart City at the Smart City Expo, the Smart Cities World Congress, and the GSMA.

She served as Vice Chairperson of Emaar Development , a member of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Colleges of Technology , and as Director General of the Dubai Smart City Office . She led the creation of the Smart City Index, the first global benchmark for implementing smart city initiatives, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union and the United Nations.

She served as Assistant Director General at the Executive Office of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Executive Director of Corporate and Support Services at the UAE Ministry of Labour from 2010 to 2012, where she was responsible for developing and implementing strategic management, partnership development, and change management policies.

She also held the position of Director of Corporate Excellence at the Executive Council of the Government of Dubai, and Head of the Information Technology Department at the same council.

She has over 20 years of experience in ICT development in the public and government sectors.

She has received numerous awards, including the Strategic Leadership Excellence Award and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Middle East Centre at the University of Manchester in 2017, the Women in Government Leadership Award from the World Economic Forum in 2015, and the Middle East Excellence Award for Women Entrepreneurs in 2012.

She holds a PhD in Management, Science, Technology and Innovation from 2006, a Master's degree in Policy and Research in Engineering, Science and Technology from Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom from 2005, a Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences from the Higher Colleges of Technology from 2003, and a Bachelor's degree in Public Financial Management from the Dubai School of Government.

She is also a graduate of the "Successful Performance Management" program from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland, and a graduate of the "Preparing Young Leaders" program organized by the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development.
