Ahmed Yahya Al-Idrisi

CEO and Board Member of MGX since March 2024, UAE.

He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global Foundries and CEPSA, and a member of the Board of Directors of Emirates Global Aluminium, Mubadala Capital  and  Abu Dhabi Investment Council. He is also a member of Mubadala Investment Committee

Previously, he served as CEO of Direct Investments at Mubadala Investment Company " Mubadala ", and CEO of the Technology and Industry Sector at the same company. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of "Nova Chemicals Company", Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company "Masdar", National Central Cooling Company "Tabreed", " Mubadala Petroleum Company ", "AMD Company" between 2012 and 2019, and the Mining Projects Company "MATSA".

Prior to his roles at Mubadala, Yahia was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he co-led the Principal Investor practice and was also the Managing Partner of the Abu Dhabi practice. He also served as Marketing Manager at Procter & Gamble, where he oversaw several of the firm’s major brands.

He received the International Student Scholarship Council Award for his excellence and outstanding academic performance while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States of America.

He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Product Strategy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States of America, and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the École Centrale Paris.
