Former CEO of Abu Dhabi Polymers Company Limited (Borouge), UAE. He was a board member of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) , and Chairman of the Plastics Industries Committee in the same company. He has experience in the oil and gas industry, where he held several positions in the fields of General Management, Refining Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Planning and Technology, Business Support and Marketing Management, Sales and Marketing of Refined Products, LPG, LNG and Crude Oil. He was the Chairman of the Marketing Projects Steering Group at Borouge, and the Chief Operating Officer at Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer). He also held several positions in the same company, including Assistant General Manager of Operations, Director of Ruwais Refinery, Director of Abu Dhabi Refinery, and Director of Planning and Technical Support. He also worked with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) as Product Manager and Director of Gas Supply. He was also a member of ADNOC Logistics and Services Company , a member of Borouge Pte Ltd, and Chairman of the Marketing Projects Steering Committee at Borouge. Ahmed also has experience in the field of refining and petrochemical operations, and has participated in several conferences in the field of operational excellence, business continuity, cyber security, and others. In 2010, he was ranked among the “ 50 Most Influential People in the Refining and Petrochemical Industry in the Middle East”. He holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Governance and Leadership, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
