Assistant Governor for Information Technology at the General Organization for Social Insurance "GOSI" since 2011, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
With experience in information technology, he contributes to formulating and implementing GOSI’s policies as a member of the High Management Committee. He oversees the Performance Committee, Project Portfolio, and IT Enterprise Architecture and leads multiple strategic projects in the IT and business sectors.
Al-Omran has introduced advanced technological solutions, such as artificial intelligence and business intelligence, to establish big data analytical platforms. These initiatives have significantly contributed to early fraud detection and enhanced the user experience. Under his leadership, GOSI has completed its digital transformation, providing almost all services through innovative digital channels.
Al-Omran previously assumed the position of the Acting Governor of GOSI and Chairman of the Board of Hassana Investment Company. He is also a board member of several companies, including Saudi Telecom Company, Takamol, Masdar, Mudad, Future Work Company, and the National Digital Transformation Committee.
Additionally, he took over as Vice President of the ICT Committee of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) from 2006 to 2019.
Al-Omran obtained a master’s degree in computer science from the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in the United States of America in 2000 and a bachelor’s degree in the same field from King Saud University in 1996.
