Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi's Bio
Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development since January 24, 2023, United Arab Emirates.
He is a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Global Market since October 19, 2021, and the Khalifa Fund for Development since March 2023, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Burjeel Holding.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors of “Q Holding” since November 10, 2021, “ADNOC Drilling Company,” and “Taziz Company” since November 10, 2020, “ADNOC Distribution Company” since February 2019, and “Abu Dhabi Intercontinental Futures Exchange.”
He held many positions in a number of government agencies and private institutions, and specialized in the fields of investments, strategy, performance monitoring and corporate governance, where he served as Group Head of Financial Affairs at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company “ADNOC” between 2019 and 2021, and Director of the Finance and Investment Department in the same company between February. December 2019, Director of the Government Investments Office in the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance between 2018 and 2019, and Director of the State-Owned Companies Office in the General Secretariat of the Executive Council in Abu Dhabi between 2011 and 2018.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, the Retirement Pensions and Benefits Fund for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the Union National Bank. He also worked in the Abu Dhabi Municipality and the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom.
