Ahmed Issa Al Falahi

CEO of Gulf Energy Marine “ GEM ” since 2006 , UAE. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Garnet Shipping Company, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Shipping Association, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre since 2017. He has represented the UAE on the Board of the International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (Intertanko) since 2007. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Cement Company between 2013 and 2021, and held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Navigation Holding Company between April 21, 2019 and August 2020. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Shipping Association between 2007 and 2020, Drydocks World during 2010, Reem Finance Company between 2007 and 2008, Pakistan Telecommunications Corporation between 2005 and 2006, and a member of the Dubai Maritime Advisory Council between 2016 and 2018. He worked as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions in Africa and the Middle East at Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) between 1998 and 2006, and also worked at a Fortune 500 company. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance in 1997 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in the United States.
