Ahmed Eid Al Mansouri's Bio

Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology at the Dubai Police , United Arab Emirates. He is a faculty member in the Department of Criminal Investigation and Research Sciences at the Dubai Police Academy , Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Emirates International Conference and Exhibition on Forensic Science and Criminology, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Judicial Institute . He has worked in several police departments, the last of which was Deputy Director of the Dubai Police Academy. He also served as Director General of the Dubai Education Zone, and was a member of a number of scientific bodies, including the Higher Committee of the Sheikh Zayed International Award for the Environment between 1998 and 2000, the World Organization of Chiefs of Police in the United States of America in 2000, the Board of Trustees of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance, the Board of Trustees of the University of Modern Sciences, and the Board of Trustees of the University of Saint Joseph in Dubai. He has supervised many postgraduate research studies, and participated in many committees specialized in studying local legislation and commenting on its drafts. He has many scientific researches and publications related to law, administrative sciences and legislation, including: "Legislative Protection of Rights and Freedoms in the Face of the Powers of Judicial Enforcement Officers" 2002, "The Right of the Accused to Silence in English Law", "Mutual Oversight between Legislative and Executive Authorities in the United Arab Emirates", and "The Crime of Abortion between Sharia and Law". He holds a PhD in Criminal Law from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
