He has been a lawyer at “Amiri Lawyers and Legal Consultants” since November 2011, a writer for “ Al Ittihad Newspaper ” since 2006, and a member of the “Emirati Bloggers Union”.

He co-founded the Emirates Human Rights Association, worked as a senior editor at Dubai Customs between 2009 and 2011, editor-in-chief at Al-Alam Newspaper between 2006 and 2009, writer at Al-Bayan Newspaper between 2005 and 2006, and Ahwal Magazine between 2001 and 2005.

He was also an executive officer at the Dubai Courts between 2001 and 2006, head of the Traffic Prosecution Office at the Dubai Public Prosecution between 1998 and 2011, and an investigation secretary at the same entity between 1993 and 1998.

His most prominent works include: “Confessions of a News Editor”, “The Glutton”, “Why We Hate the Obstetrician”, “Marriage with the Intent to Kill”, “Baba Oud’s House”, “Biography of a Belly”, “Stories of the Penal Code”, “Abu Qalam”, “The World of Adam’s Children”, “Hajji Hamad Al-Halwani”, “The Lion Who Confessed”, and “The Man Who Knows English”.
