Abdul Qader Obaid Ali

CEO of Smart World since May 2015, United Arab Emirates. He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “ Internal Auditors Association ” since March 2010, and a member of the Board of Directors of the “Al Noor Center” since January 2014, and the “ Dubai Financial Market ” since November 3, 2021. He has experience extending to 24 years in the field of technology, quality, human resources and internal audit, where he served as Director of the Internal Audit Department at “ DP World ” between 2005 and 2014. He also held several positions at “ Emirates Global Aluminum Company ”, where he worked as Director of Quality between 2004 and 2006, and Director of Organizational Development between 2003. And 2004, and Director of Information Technology between 1995 and 2001. He also held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Dubai Quality Group” and the First Vice President of the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company “ Du ”. He holds a Master’s degree in Technical Management in 1984 from the University of Stirling in Scotland, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology in 1984 from the University of Arizona in the United States of America. He also completed the Executive Program in Global Public Management at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
