He is the founder of " Al Fahim Group " in 1958.

He was active in the field of charity work, as he founded the “Idea of the Famous Al Fahim Endowment”, and began it by establishing a special office to collect zakat expenses in 1969. He also contributed to building many hospitals and schools, and preparing relief campaigns in emergency situations.

He worked in the government sector, where he held the position of Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Planning Council in 1968, and in 1969, he was a member of the first Municipal Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Abdul Jalil was also chosen to head the missions that went to contract with Jordanian teachers to work in Abu Dhabi schools, and he was a member of the Lands and Compensation Committee that undertook the process of implementing major projects in Abu Dhabi.

He was also one of the close associates of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan , as he was chosen to be part of his work team in his office in Al Muwaiji Fort in Al Ain until he became his personal representative.

He won the Abu Dhabi Award in 2005, and was announced as one of the honorees of the “President’s Appreciation Award” for contributors to building the union, in recognition of his role and contribution to the UAE.

He was educated by his father, Mohammed bin Abdul Rahim Al Fahim, and then continued his education at the hands of religious scholars and jurists.

His sons launched the Abdul Jalil Bin Mohammed Al Fahim Award for Scientific Excellence in 1997 in memory of their father, and in 2004, the Abdul Jalil Al Fahim Foundation was established in recognition and continuation of his work.
